Hanna Somatics Movement

This class is a mindful and therapeutic practice designed to help individuals release chronic pain, stress, and tension while promoting overall well-being and deep relaxation.

Combining elements of sound therapy, traditional yoga with somatic education this class emphasizes slow, gentle movements that downshift the brainwaves, support vagus nerve regulation, and help optimize muscle function and alignment. Pain Care Aware principles are interwoven throughout the class making this a safe option for anyone with ongoing or chronic pain to cultivate self efficacy and greater bodily discernment.
This class typically involves a series of gentle, flowing movements and rest, designed to increase body awareness, enhance flexibility, and improve coordination. These movements are often performed lying down, sitting, or standing, making them accessible to people of all ages and physical abilities. Added sound healing using tuning forks, crystal singing bowls and Himalayan bowls will help to bring harmony on a cellular frequency, which promote rest and digest mode, bring deep relaxation, a reset for mind-body equilibrium.
